The National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH)

The NCH represents over 1800 hypnotherapy professionals within the United Kingdom and is committed to ensuring the highest possible professional standards amongst its members.

The Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP)

APHP maintains directories of Certified Hypnotherapists UK and world-wide. If you are looking for professional help via hypnotherapy, then this site helps you or your potential clients discover the location of competent and properly trained therapists in the area.

The General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC)

Representing 180+ separate Professional Bodies & Training Schools and now the designated umbrella body for the The Working Group for Hypnotherapy Regulation (WGHR) which is essentially comprised of the GHSC and the Hypnotherapy Society (HS). Its primary purpose was to facilitate agreed standards within the profession and subsequently bring about Voluntary Self-regulation (VSR) - an officially recognised status - for the entire industry.

The National Council of Psychotherapists (NCP)

The National Council of Psychotherapists is one of the longest established professional societies of its type in the United Kingdom, being formed in 1971. The NCP is a National and International organisation where most members are in private practice as Psychotherapists, Hypnotherapists, Coaches, Counsellors or in combinations of these professions.

Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNCH)

The CNCH was established with government support to regulate the following complementary therapies: Alexander Technique teaching; Aromatherapy; Bowen Therapy; Craniosacral Therapy; Healing; Hypnotherapy; Massage Therapy; Microsystems Acupuncture; Naturopathy; Nutritional Therapy; Reflexology; Reiki; Shiatsu; Sports Therapy; Yoga Therapy. Their key purpose is to protect the public. The Department of Health has recommended that, where CNHC registers the complementary therapists in question, you consult with someone who is CNHC registered.
